Tienes en mente desde niña cómo quieres que sea exactamente tú vestido, pero a la hora de describÃrselo al diseñador o a tus amigas, las palabras te fallan y no encuentras los términos adecuados para explicar cómo el escote se frunce aquà o la falda se recoge por allá. En concreto, los extranjerismos han invadido el terreno de la moda, y es difÃcil desenvolverse si no los conoces a la perfección. Atelier, strass, choker… ¿Quieres saber qué significan algunas de estas palabras? Te hacemos un pequeño resumen con la terminologÃa básica para novias.
Atelier: la palabra atelier proviene del francés y significa literalmente ‘taller’. Los talleres de costura son el germen de los vestidos de novia, y el lugar donde el diseñador se reúne con sus ayudantes y colaboradores para crear los diseños y patrones de sus trajes.
Toile: la toile es un boceto en tela más o menos rústica con el que el diseñador realiza las primeras pruebas sobre el cuerpo de la novia hasta dar con el patrón deseado. Durante el proceso de creación del vestido de novia, el modisto puede llegar a crear varias toiles hasta dar con el diseño perfecto.
Outfit: el outfit de la novia es el conjunto de prendas que engloba tanto el vestido como los zapatos, el velo, las joyas y el resto de complementos. Un look total de novia.
Vestido strapless: el archiconocido escote palabra de honor recibe también el nombre de escote o vestido strapless. Su particularidad: deja los hombros al aire, combinando indistintamente las formas rectas con pico o de corazón.
Paillettes: una de las palabras favoritas para los especialistas que trabajan en el mundo de la moda es pailletes, un término francés muy ‘chic’ para designar a las tradicionales lentejuelas.
Babydoll: los vestidos de corte babydoll normalmente se relacionan con novias jóvenes y desenfadadas, que optan por dejar las piernas al descubierto en el dÃa de su boda. El vestido babydoll se caracteriza por acortar la falda por encima de la rodilla.
Strass: uno de los bordados decorativos preferidos por los diseñadores nupciales es el strass, un conjunto de pequeñas piedras y trocitos de cristal que sirven para cubrir el vestido y los zapatos de destellos brillantes.
Évasè: el corte évasè se caracteriza por su forma acampanada, y es habitual en faldas y vestidos, aunque también puede aplicarse a los pantalones. Las faldas de este tipo se ajustan a la cadera y adoptan una forma más amplia en la parte del bajo.
Vintage: el término vintage se refiere a esas prendas u objetos (vestidos, tiaras, alianzas) de más de diez años, es decir, con una cierta antigüedad, que son rescatadas del fondo del armario para actualizar el look nupcial de la novia.
Zapatos peep-toes: una de las tendencias más fuertes en los últimos años a la hora de vestir los pies de las novias han sido los zapatos peep-toes, un tipo de calzado muy femenino, con una pequeña abertura justo en la parte de delante que deja al descubierto las puntas de los dedos.
Choker: la clásica gargantilla hecha a base de strass, perlas, terciopelo o plumas recibe el nombre de choker cuando rebasamos las fronteras del mundo de la moda.
Showroom: las firmas de moda más prestigiosas suelen contar con un showroom, un habitáculo en el que se exhiben las prendas y propuestas para cada temporada con varios meses de antelación. Fuente: Hola
