Te damos algunos trucos para guardar o deshacerte de tu vestido de novia
Ya lo has hecho, has dado el sà quiero al hombre de tu vida, llegas al hotel, te despojas de ese vestido que has escogido con tanto mimo, lo dejas sobre la cama… y ahora, ¿qué? El vestido de novia está elaborado a base de tejidos y materiales muy caros y delicados, y es imprescindible darle unos cuidados básicos para que aguante el paso del tiempo. ¿Cómo evitar que se llene de polvo en el fondo del armario? Toma nota de nuestros consejos:
* Lo primero de todo, guárdalo en una amplia bolsa de plástico y llévalo al tinte. Por mucho cuidado que hayas tenido a la hora de pasear sobre el césped del jardÃn durante la sesión de fotos o recogieras la cola durante el baile, lo más probable es que los suaves tonos del vestido, en especial los bajos, hayan adquirido un tono parduzco y muy poco glamouroso. Una limpieza a fondo le devolverá su color. Eso sÃ, cerciórate antes de que todos los bordados de cristal y demás apliques estén en su sitio, para no perderlos durante el proceso.
* A la hora de guardarlo la mejor opción es un caja de cartón resistente: los vestidos de novia, especialmente si tienen cola, suelen pesar bastante, por lo que dejarlos durante largo tiempo colgados en la percha acaba deformándolos. Asimismo, la tÃpica bolsa de tintorerÃa o incluso la bolsa en la que te lo vendieron, puede ser perjudicial con el tiempo para el tejido, al impedirle que respire. Lo mejor: envuélvelo en papel de seda para que absorba la humedad, guárdalo doblado en la caja y ventÃlalo de vez en cuando para que la tela no se apelmace y no adquiera el tÃpico olor ‘a cerrado’.
* Mientras aún lo lleves puesto, debes tener en cuenta también algunos tips que te ayuden a mantenerlo en perfecto estado una vez acabe la boda. Intenta evitar las zonas ajardinadas y si te manchas de manera evidente (vino, café, chocolate…), olvida el primer impulso de lavar la prenda con agua y jabón ‘in situ’: el agua actúa como imán para la suciedad. Lo mejor es que vayas ‘armada’ con un buen quitamanchas instantáneo e intentes disimular el desastre lo mejor posible.
* Si tus padres poseen el tradicional arcón con vestidos antiguos, aprovecha para obtener algo de espacio en casa y guárdalo allÃ. Con un poco de suerte podrá hacerle compañÃa a otros trajes de novia de la familia.
* La gran mayorÃa de novias guardan su vestido como oro en paño: ya sea como un recuerdo vivo y precioso de ese gran dÃa o para dejarlo como legado a sus hijas o nietas, el vestido debe aguantar el paso de los años. Pero si no eres de esas novias apegadas a las cosas materiales, hay otras opciones: puedes venderlo a una tienda de prendas de segunda mano, regalarlo a una amiga o incluso reciclarlo. Un buen modisto te lo separará en dos piezas, y con el color y corte adecuados hará las veces de perfecto outfit de fiesta.
